Ok, that's a bit of an exaggeration. This problem is far from life altering. My crib mobile doesn't fit! My crib sides aren't normal and so it won't hook on.
I found this bird mobile through Mighty Goods, a great shopping blog, and I need input! Help! Is it good for a little one? It isn't made for babies but that doesn't matter, right? The baby can't have nothing to look at. Won't that make him dim?

It wouldn't work directly over the crib anyway because he would just be seeing the pieces from the side - a bunch of little lines moving around, basically. It will look lovely hanging in another part of the room from the ceiling so he can see it when he is upright. Plus, I worry about you poking an eye out on one of the pieces when you bend over some sleepless night to pick up a crying baby!! Get something softer and more baby-centric. :-)
Needs more COLOUR! Babies need colour to prevent dimness. I'm told. By folks that know. The bird one could hang in the kitchen table area - you could enjoy it. Not everything should be for the baby to enjoy.
